The American Party is 35 years old! The American Party was founded on May 3-4, 1969 in Cincinnati, Ohio
According to Vol. I No. 1 of the Eagle (Official National Monthly Publication of the American Party in the United States) published in December, 1969, a preliminary meeting of over 300 George C. Wallace supporters from 37 states occurred on February 1 in Dallas, Texas! This meeting paved the way for the founding organizational meeting of the American Party of the United States on Saturday and Sunday, May 3rd and 4th in Cincinnati, Ohio! The first National Chairman of the American Party was T. Coleman Andrews, Jr. His father, T. Coleman Andrews, Sr was an independent candidate for President running against Republican Dwight David Eisenhower and Democrat Adlai Stevenson in 1956! The first address of the American Party Headquarters was: Post Office Box 1976, Richmond, VA 23216! The last meeting of the National Central Committee of the national American Party was held in Indianapolis in October, 1969 with 33 state party affiliations to the national American Party! The first semi-annual meeting was scheduled for May, 1970!
